LIGHT THE NIGHT

Land Surveys12 October 20151 min read

As a WA state partner for the Leukaemia Foundation’s Light the Night walk on October 9, Land Surveys staff have embraced the cause, committing funds to assisting Australians through blood cancer research and personalised support.

Land Surveys is proud to have made a donation that will be invested into the Leukaemia Foundation’s National Research Program as part of the Nicole Rullo scholarship, funding vital research into the causes, epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment, psychosocial impact, management and cures of blood cancers and related disorders.

As a result of Land Surveys donation, Dr Mark Dawson’s project at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre researching ‘Understanding how abnormal regulation of DNA contributes to leukaemia’ will receive extra funding, as will Dr Sophie Broughton’s project at St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research, ‘Defining the 3D structure of anti-leukaemic drug and its receptor complexes’.
