National Reconciliation Week 2023

At Land Surveys, we recognise the importance of building and nurturing work and community relationships that honour the histories and futures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We strive to keep reconciliation at the forefront of our minds and actions, not just during National Reconciliation Week commencing tomorrow, but every day.

On a recent visit to the NT, our Founder and Chairman, Peter Rullo, alongside Dr Stephen Johnson, visited several communities and remote locations to engage with local custodians and traditional owners to share knowledge about cultural heritage.

These consultations are a key part of the works Land Surveys are undertaking in the NT and are designed to offer traditional owners the opportunity to identify culturally significant areas that are to be avoided.

It was a memorable visit with all stakeholders engaging and exchanging ideas about technical and cultural considerations in some of the most picturesque places in Australia.
