The Level Crossing Removal Project: Caulfield to Dandenong involves the removal of nine level crossings between Caulfield and Dandenong. It includes five rebuilt stations at Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Hughesdale, Clayton and Noble Park, as well as power and signalling upgrades. The Victorian Government is committed to removing all nine level crossings by the end of 2018.

In preparation to commence construction, the Victorian Government are offering property condition surveys to all properties within 50 metres of structural work and 30 metres of civil work to be carried out as part of the project, at no cost to you, the property owner. The purpose of the survey is to document the condition of your property at a particular point in time and to provide a reference in the unlikely event a property experiences any adverse effects from construction. This is a normal procedure for a large scale infrastructure projects.  The survey involves inspecting and taking photographs of the inside and outside of your building. It will take up to an hour to complete depending on the size and condition of your property.

If you have not received an invitation letter but would like to discuss your eligibility for the survey, please contact the project’s Community Information Line on 1800 762 667 or

Please note that only the property owner is authorised to provide permission to carry out a property condition survey. If you are not the property owner, please forward the invitation to them or your property agent as soon as possible.
