Chief Executive Officer
Licensed Surveyor, Peter Rullo, founded Land Surveys in 1997. Through hard work, professionalism and passion, Peter has expanded the business to now include multiple offices across Australia, and one in Papua New Guinea, consisting of more than 200 staff. Prior to establishing Land Surveys, Peter worked for Fugro Surveys and Automated Surveys. His achievements include Bachelor of Surveying Degree, Curtin University 1992; Certificate of Competency - Land Surveyors Licensing Board; Registration of License - Land Surveying Licensing Board WA; Practicing Certificate - Land Surveyors Licensing Board WA; and Member SSSI.
Chief Operating Officer
Bruce Baker joined Land Surveys in 2011, as General Manager and Director, playing a pivotal role in developing the company into one of Australia’s leading surveying companies. Bruce actively oversees operations Australia-wide, as well as developing the strategic direction of the business. Bruce brings more than 20 years of worldwide Surveying and Spatial Industry experience to Land Surveys, specialising in positioning technology research and development, hydrographic, and offshore surveying. In previous roles, Bruce has successfully managed several large projects, both on-shore and off-shore. He is an active committee member for the Australasian Hydrographic Society (AHS), and holds memberships with the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), Society for Underwater Technology (SUT), and Surveying and Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI).
Chief Financial Officer
Paul Williamson joined Land Surveys in 2017, as Chief Financial Officer. Paul is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with more than 20 years of finance team leadership experience in Australia and the United Kingdom. Previous to joining Land Surveys, Paul was Regional Director and a Consulting CFO for CFO Centre WA. Prior to that, he held positions as the most senior finance executive at P&N Bank, and the ASX listed finance company, Thinksmart Ltd. After qualifying with KPMG, Paul provided finance expertise to a variety of sectors including land development, not-for-profits, manufacturing, professional services, and financial services including a period as Chief Accountant for BankWest.
East Coast Manager
Paul Linton joined Land Surveys in 2014, as the New South Wales Manager. Paul brings to Land Surveys more than 14 years of experience in both cadastral and engineering surveying disciplines. He has previously been involved in a number of high profile civil construction, building construction, land development, and transport projects throughout Australia and the United Kingdom. Experienced in leading and managing survey teams, Paul combines his solid experience in a supervisory capacity with strong project management and leadership skills. Having completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Surveying and Spatial Information Systems with Honours, Paul is also a Registered Surveyor in New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territory, and is a member of the Institution of Surveyors in New South Wales.
West Coast Manager
Alan Macpherson joined Land Surveys in 2001, and progressed into the crucial role of Pilbara Regional Manager, overseeing Karratha and Port Hedland operations. He works closely with FIFO and Business Development, delivering high satisfaction to clients operating within the region. Alan brings to Land Surveys 15 years of surveying experience over a diverse range of survey projects, expanding across structural, mechanical, piping, earthworks, civil and land surveying throughout Western Australia. He has successfully been involved with high profile projects such as the North West Shelf Venture (NSWV) LNG4 expansion, Ravensthorpe Nickel Project, and the Raine Square redevelopment project in Perth CBD. Alan holds an Engineering Surveyor Professional-Australasia Pacific (ES P-AP) with Spatial Science Institute (SSSI).
Business Development Manager - East Coast
James Sanderson joined Land Surveys in 2014, as the manager of the new Victoria Branch. James brings more than 12 years of surveying experience in the disciplines of construction, land development, infrastructure, and exploration in Australia and overseas. He spent six years based in the United Kingdom as a sole trader, before moving to Melbourne in 2008, as a Project Surveyor. With a pro-active approach to problem solving, James quickly moved into a number of management roles delivering surveying services to major high-rise, and large construction projects in Melbourne. Originally from Western Australia, James completed a Bachelor of Surveying degree in 2001, and is a member of the SSSI.
Business Development Manager - West Coast
Philip Jonath joined Land Surveys in 2015, as the Infrastructure and Government Coordinator. Philip is a Licensed Surveyor with more than 28 years of experience in the Surveying Industry in the Urban Development, Resource and Construction sectors. Philip has specialised in the management of complex survey functions for many private and public sector clients throughout Australasia and the Pacific Region. He is a Licensed Surveyor in Western Australia and Queensland, Grade 2 and Authorised Surveyor with the Western Australian Department of Minerals and Petroleum, and is a member of the SSSI. He received the Malcolm Everson Prize from SSSI in 2014, in recognition for his contribution to the Western Australian Surveying Industry as a supervisory surveyor of a graduate surveyor who became licensed with the Land Surveyors Board of Western Australia.
Mining Services Manager
Dan Ward joined Land Surveys in 2017, as the Mining Services Manager. Dan is a qualified Surveyor and holds a Grade 1 and 2 mining endorsement. He has more than 8 years of experience in both underground and open-cut mines, with exposure to a large variety of commodities and mining techniques. Prior to joining Land Surveys, Dan was the Chief Mine Surveyor at Andy Well Gold Mine in Meekatharra, WA. He was involved with the project from the initial construction phase through to the mine closure plans, with the mine winning “Mine of the Year” at the 2015 Australian Mining Prospect Awards. In 2008, Dan completed a Bachelors Degree in Surveying from the University of Otago in New Zealand, and he is a member of the Australian Institute of Mine Surveys.
Samantha Rees joined Land Surveys in 2011, as Management Accountant, overseeing the accounting and payroll department. Samantha brings more than 20 years of experience to Land Surveys, with extensive knowledge and experience in the auditing, accounting and consultation of private and public entities. Prior to Land Surveys, Samantha worked across multiple industries, in both Australia and South Africa, including B E Rees and Company, Tag Solvents Products (Pty) Ltd, and The Compass Group. She is certified with a Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Accounting and Auditing from the University of South Africa, and is presently completing her CPA studies in Australia.
Kerryn Scott joined Land Surveys in 2013, as Senior HR Advisor. Kerryn’s role is crucial in supporting Land Surveys organisational needs, contributing to the development; implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices. Kerryn’s role also focuses on the continual development of community based opportunities and relationships that support Land Surveys values. She brings a highly skilled professional background from a wide range of disciplines to Land Surveys with more than 10 years of HR experience. Kerryn also has experience in culturally diverse environments both in Australia and overseas.
